Bought this to grind inside corner welds with a carbide Burr, it works great. Not much bigger than a Dremel, comfortable to use, Chuck is better than the Collet type, didn't get hot using the carbide Burr, but warmed up a bit when I put a 4 inch polishing mop in it. Definitely worth the money

Out of the box is cheep feeling in hand has sharp edges slow speed is to fast and numbers on speed nob quickly rub of if you use a wire brush two inch gets very hot very quickly is OK using a carbide burr and I like the chuck but should be better quality at this price it is for very light use do not use with wire brush gets smoking hot

An excellent tool, very well made and great value for money. The variable speed works a treat and the mini chuck is so much easier to use than a collet type chuck. It makes a dremel seem like an underpowered toy.

I found my 3mm rotary cutter/grinder too small and not powerful enough for a few of my aluminium fabrications. The Katsu grinder's dimensions are like a chunky Dremmel size, easy to hold in one hand, but better to use two when grinding/shaping metal, because of the power of the motor. My smaller grinder ha a 135w motor, the Katsu is 280w and feels it, shrugging off any jobs I've thrown at it so far. The chuck is nicely made and holds the 6mm grinding dies well. The variable speed dial is very useful and allows you vary the speed to the job. I would've given it five stars, but I had to replace a terminal on the on/off switch when it stopped working.

An excellent medium sized die grinder with proper keyed chuck. This means it can take an infinite selection of bits, up to quarter shank, despite being rated at 6mm. You are not limited to a collet size, as with most die grinders. This is perfect for me as a retired engineer, I have a lot of quarter shank bits, which I can now use in this tool. Lots of controllable power and a nice size for comfortable use. The build quality is very good. Excellent value for money. I thoroughly recommend this tool.

Looks good, works well, has variable speed and does what its made for for a good price. Fully recommended

For the price this is a really well made drill. The fit and finish is fine - it fees great in the hand, the chuck is well made (shame it isn't keyless, but it works fine) and it takes 6mm tools such as wire-wheels without problem. It's much more powerful (and only a bit bigger) than other hobby tools. The only negative would be that the slowest speed is still a bit too fast for some activities, as others have mentioned, but I can live with that.

Bought this for jobs that a Dremel simply isn't man enough for. Got around to using it this morning with a carbide burr to clean up a few internal fillet welds in mild steel. Did the job very efficiently with a minimum of effort. Couldn't get at it with an angle grinder as the welds were inside an 80 x 80mm frame. Can see me using this a lot in the future. Does what it says on the tin.

This is really good, especially as it has the chuck style holder which doesn't break like the other cheap ones out there. The only thing I would change is add a few lower speeds to it as it seems a little fast but I'd recommend this to anyone wanting a cheap and sturdy die grinder.

Used today in the garage. Nice and powerful, like the chuck you don't have worry about collet's. Use in short bursts as it gets warm quickly. Good for the money, came with spare brushers too.
