These vanilla beans were the best of any I've ever bought! Once I opened the package, the smell was very fragrant. It absolutely smelled delicious! My vanilla extract was ready to use just a month after making it whereas usually one has to give it a few months. The color was very dark after 1.5 weeks. The smell of the extract actually smells like vanilla and not vodka. The taste actually tastes like vanilla and not vodka. Work well for making homemade vanilla extract
These vanilla beans are perfect for making homemade vanilla extract. They are wrapped well, retain their freshness, and give off an excellent vanilla flavor. I just cut them into 1 inch pieces, put them in a jar, and cover with vodka or rum. Good deal for grade A Madagascar!
While I have not yet used these beans, (expiration date is 2023!) they are flexible and deep dark brown as was the last shipment from this company. Will soon be making another batch of extract and these will be perfect. Since they are short about 5 or 5 1/2 inches I plan to use all 10 for the extract. So yummy.
