Bought to replace broken one which seems to be a normal thing for the x5. Bit tricky to tear down and replace but there are several u tube videos to follow. Don't rush and be systematic. Don't force things to fit or you'll end up breaking the outer handle. Use copper slip or another suitable grease on re assembly.

These items are a common failure on E53, have previously brought replacement from ebay which was cheaper, but had to grind it to make it fit and it only lasted eleven months before snapping This Meyle carrier was a perfect fit, easy to install, operates very smoothly, much better than the previous one did, worth the little extra I paid for it, would highly recommend
