Neat and Functional
I bought this case as a cheap, neat, white leather case to protect my 5th gen. (A1136 model)iPod and wasn't overly concerned about its looks. The iLuv i106B fits the bill nicely. There seem to be very few options for covers for these old iPods on e-bay - I could only find silicone or open-flap models - and this was the one I opted for. It's exactly as described and it certainly didn't disappoint. The iPod fits the case snugly and the various cut outs for the ports etc. are spot on 'though if your earphones have a thick jack, you might find the plug-in a bit of a squeeze. The tight fit makes the slippery iPod quite difficult to extricate once in situ (but then who'd want to keep removing it?) There's no screen protector with the delivery. The front flap has a cheque card sized slit with a vertical elliptical cut out. Not sure why - ?for your address? A little magnetic strap keeps the item closed. A two-position pop fit strap at the rear could clip it to your (slim) belt or stand the iPod up. For me (mostly listening to music) the pocket and strap make the case a bit fussy and, as you might see from photo 4, make the whole bulky - in fact twice as thick as the iPod itself - so if you're concerned about the slim clean aesthetic of the iPod this might not be for you. I don't know at this stage how the white case will last but would expect some discolouration/ staining over time. I bought this cover primarily to protect my iPod. It seems robust and it looks OK so for me it certainly fits the bill.
