Vanson Guitars. Utilising an AlNiCo magnet will always produce a more open and dynamic tone, than can be found with typical ceramic magnets. We’ve chosen AlNiCo V magnets to provide a more powerful, attacking tone with a full bottom-end.

  • Great sounding pickups

Replaced stock Humbuckers in an Ibanez Gio GAX30, sound now more drivable, no hum or hiss and even minimal noise with coil splits just great open single coil strat sound, for the price they are a no brainer to upgrade factory fit pickups on lower range/budget guitars

  • Great pickup combination. Great sound.

I have a Vintage V100 (Les Paul clone) and very good it is too. However, the Wilkinson Humbuckers were just a little too hot for my style. The obvious choice would have been to replace with Seymour Duncan 59s, however these were outside of my budget. Whilst surfing the net for cheaper options I stumbled on a series of excellent reviews/recommendations for the Vanson 59 and 57 Humbuckers. The suggestions were that the Vanson pickups were extremely similar to the Seymour Duncan pups in bother spec and sound.....and considerably cheaper. My dilemma was whether go for a set of 59s or 57s! This was resolved with advice/ help from Vanson, who offered a custom set, suggesting a 57 in the bridge and a 59 at he neck. What a transformation in sound and variety between pickup selection. Very happy thank you Vanson

  • Vanson Alnico V & II Pickups

I am a pro repair / luthier and I have installed and tried countless pickups in all price ranges. Having installed both types, I can honestly tell you that the Vanson Alnico V and Alnico II are absolutely brilliant irrespective of price. Buy with confidence, you won't regret it.

  • Highly recommended!

I bought these to replace a set of humbuckers that came on a new hollow bodied Telecaster shaped guitar. They always sounded muddy and I was never happy with them. I changed the capacitor which brightened the sound a bit - but not enough. After replacing them with the new Vanson PAF Humbuckers, the guitar took on a new life. They have a nice, bright vintage sound, but not so much that they sound like any other vintage humbucker. They have a good output of power, and take gain and effects pedals well. I'm very happy with them and at the price paid, they were well worth the investment. The guitar now sounds exactly like I wanted and is the first guitar I go to out of a collection of 11 others. Highly recommended!

  • Great Value Upgrades

Bought these to replace the pickups on my Vintage 100 Les Paul copy. The stock pickups are Entwhistle Dark Star, which didn’t quite suit my playing style. I am genuinely surprised by how good these Vansons sound…nice vintage tone, plenty of open detail and they take gain nicely too. Great value.

  • Definitely worth grabbing a pair

I used these as I swap out on a Washburn hb35 hated All the Gold Hardware put Chrome tuners roller saddle and these 59s I was not expecting what I got they were one hell of an upgrade from the stock washburn's which actually sounded pretty good but I would put these right up with a Seymour Duncan or Gibsons any day great pups even better price

  • Looks good sounds alright too

Looks good, easy enough to install. No wiring labels diagrams but they solder together the wires that connect the 2 coils in series if you dont want to coil tap. Sound not much improved compared to my previous humbuckers that came with a jay turser guitar, but a good product overall if you fancy changing it up.

  • Noticeable Difference

Removed the stock Epiphone pickups from my Les Paul Standard replaced with the Vanson PAF, what a difference now on par with a Gibson, that lovely rich tone matched with a bell like sound on the treble strings. In a blind fold test against a Gibson there would be little or no difference with the Vanson's being chosen as the better sound. Definitely recommend these as a replacement/upgrade humbucker.

  • Fitted to my Epiphone Les Paul.

I bought this guitar in the 90s, and have not played it much as I never cared for its sound. These pickups have really transformed the guitar and it’s getting a lot of playtime now.
