This first edition book was published by Taplinger Pub Co, NY in 1984. White hardcover with a light gray cloth binding and black lettering on the spine. While his reputation was often overshadowed, Avery's art seems newly fresh again.
title is spot on - I think Milton Avery is known for his paintings mostly ... so showing just his works as drawings is a real draw to the book
fantastic artist ... most (and there's a lot) were drawn originally in black and white - pencil pen crayon ect - so they are reproduced easily to the book format ... I'm really enjoyong this book
