Looking at the other reviews, this product is expensive as it is a gold TRANSFER sheet, not just a sheet of gold leaf. It will not just come off the paper like regular gold leaf. Once you are used to it, it is brilliant actually. Just paint a little cooled boiled water onto your cake - fondant or buttercream, and then place the transfer sheet (gold towards cake obviously!) onto the dampened areas and the gold will peel off where the cake is damp. Then you dampen another area, random shapes are best, and then press the transfer sheet on that part where there is still more gold leaf. This isn't the gold leaf that you place on top of little chocolates with tweezers etc, just buy loose sheets for that. This is best for cakes. I trust this helps further users.
