Good non-hyperthreaded motherboard with engineering in mind.
Well designed for always-on use. The blue accents are a nice touch if your build has a window and blue/red lighting. The UEFI/BIOS is a bit tricky but you get used to it. Beware--there is no multithreading support despite being overclockable. Also, there are some MSI specific tools for hardware management that are no longer available by MSI--the original CDROM would contain these apps. MSI seems to have completely stopped supporting this on their website, despite second generation Intel chips remaining very popular.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

decent motherboard but bad fan speed
Great motherboard , though I got mine used here on ebay. It's great, has lots of features especially for overclockers, but compared to my asus microATX P8h61-M LE/csm rev 3 mobo, its terrible at cpu fan speed. There is a bios function, but its not AUTO, making you enter values hardly anyone but a hardcore OC'er would know correct values. Manual says nothing about it, and MSI support also , sadly, has no clue having talked to a few reps. Never again, Asus next time,as while their support is hardly optimal, the asus mobo noted above, was perfect whenit comes to smart fan control, and I never noticed my fan at all. Motherboard may be bad, I'm not sure as I"m not technical enough to answer that, and MSI never eluded to anything of the sort. So if its 'ok', ASUS will continue to be my motherboard of choice,until and unless I find something better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Motherboard Appears to be DOA
I bought this motherboard to replace the current motherboard in my brother's computer that can be finicky. Unfortunately when I installed the motherboard the computer failed to start. After much troubleshooting the only thing I can pin it down to is a faulty motherboard because the old motherboard works fine. I have tested the PSU on another computer and another PSU on this computer. I've tried multiple sticks of RAM. Multiple graphics cards. Reseating the CPU and the CPU cooler. Since the computer works with the old motherboard (albeit finicky) and not this motherboard I declare this a dead motherboard and a poor deal.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished
