Good budget build reddot!
With reading other reviews after i purchased,ppl say the dot is to big. So two things the closer it seems it is to your eyes the smaller the dot so set it accordingly. Secondly its not a zoom so how far do you think your gonna use a red dot for... my opinion is this it is good for the price. Id buy it again for a budget build! It is what it is
I have had a long and troubled history with red dot sights in general. I thought I would try this hooded style rather than the complete tube type. My issue is always the dot is too big. It usually covers the entire target. This one may work ok on a rifle because you can get it up closer to your face and then the dot is a decent size. On a handgun however, at arms length, the dot is huge. I was not really surprised, rather, disappointed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Get what you pay for
I was skeptical about this sight due to its price but figured I'd try it anyway. I had intended to use it on a Ruger 22 pistol for more accurate shooting than the iron sights. This seemed to be well built and I preferred the way it mounted with the two smaller screws than the single large nut of other models. Out of the box I had high hopes after inspecting it's build, but was quickly disappointed. When mounted on the pistol I found the dot to be a fine small red dot but as I extended my arms the dot turned into a blob. This is not I decided this would not work for my application but possibly as a rifle sight as the eye relief seems to be good for about 12" but any more the dot becomes distorted.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I bought this to experiment with red Dot sights. I'm glad I did in one respect. The laser is not well seated in the housing, making fine adjustments near impossible. The dot itself also has a starburst effect sir to the optics themselves bleeding the light upwards. I think this is due to the convex shape of the lens. It slightly magnifies the laser image, causing this effect. You can see this magnification effect in cheap sun glasses. If they could fix this issue, it would be a great sight for the price. Alright, but could definitely be better. Light, and strong housing
Seems to be more for rifles with little eye-relief. I put this on a 9mm handgun, and the further away your eye gets from the dot, the less of a dot it becomes. Not to mention the fact that at arm's-length, the red-dot bleeds into the top of the glass. Hard to explain, but I'd probably get something a little more expensive. This does the trick if you don't want to spend too much money. Haven't taken it to the range, so no idea if it holds zero.

Piece of junk
Same as another review in that dot is blurry higher on the screen you go. The lens is smeared with epoxy along the edges and doesn't fit correctly. Due yourself a favor and spend the money on a better brand.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I would give this item 0 stars if they would let me.
I would never buy this again. Hard to acquire the dot sight then it fades away only to return after power down then up. And fidget trying to find the dot. If you are looking for quick acquisitions do not buy this. Worse money ever spent.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
