"Look into this..."
I am an older-fashioned photographer whom prefers a full eye-cup when using my cameras. The open cup view-finder I feel provides distracting visual artefacts that frankly I don't need when concentrating on focus/framing/composition indeed normally all three simultaneously! For my Canon 5, I was unable to get the official canon component. thus I was obliged to find a pattern-part. This unit is seemingly good quality, although its durability is a matter of wait and see - I normally find the issue to be, that I lose the eye-cup rather than it wears out! Its fit and function are ideal, and so far I am delighted with the purchase. Yes, I would recommend this item to others.

Lost eyecup.
Have lost two of these simply because they kept coming off. I thought that it was my fault but it just does not seem to hold itself in place. When it is in place it does exactly what I want it to do and I would be extremely satisfied.
