I love using this. No problems with rising coffee grounds as read. I take time brewing the coffee in this mug and I think that this is the reason. I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that the press has begun to stick a little when pushed down.I do this very slowly so no grounds, but feel that perhaps the heat may have caused this.. I will continue to enjoy using this, and would buy again, but it is well worth maintaining the quality of this mug and the press.

Sometimes the coffee grounds escape, the chance of this happening decreases if the mix is stirred really well and left to brew before putting the plunger in place and depressing.

I like this cup. It's the second one I have had. But it does allow some coffee grounds to get through the filter (which can be annoying). After many months of daily use I find that the filter gets partially blocked, necessitating the purchase of a replacement cup.

I have been using these mugs for 4 years and take it everywhere with me,....holiday, work and especially camping. Keeps your freshly brewed coffee hot to enjoy. Only negative is that after heavy use the filter on the plunger comes detached.

This is a great cup, ideal for when you don't want to make a full cafetiere. It's really easy to use, and easy to clean (although it doesn't specifically say it's dishwasher safe so best not to risk it). Really pleased with this cup and would definitely recommend it.
