  • Nice machine but no good with jigs as 30 mm guide bush not available.

The machine seems put together well, not to heavy, and works well. I bought it to fit my kitchen worktops, which needs a jig. All jigs seem to run on 30 mm guide bushes, which are NOT presently available for these machines, as the fitting is NON STANDARD. So you can not use the trend type bushes. After a lot of enquiry's I can guarantee that no 30 mm guides are presently available, but the main supplier insists "they will be available for Christmas". As they "are aware of the problem". But they do not tell you that before you buy one of their machines. There is a way past this problem ........Buy a Trend 30 mm guide bush, and also buy the Trend universal bush plate. This will work, but the suppliers don't even tell you that.

  • Lumberjack plunge router, plus / minus points

Overall VERY pleased with the router that arrived today (pics up on my Twitter feed) its had a LOT of use today working on a solid wood kitchen worktop to fit a composite sink unit for Tony two doors up from me. The issues: during use (several hours!) a number of the screws vibrated out, this is easily sorted by putting them back in with a dab of thread locker, the MAIN worry was when the screw cover (plastic) for the motor brush on one side went flying across the back garden, exposing the (240v live) brush spring, again provided you don't loose the cover a little bit of thread lock should stop this happening again! • Well worth the money.

Great machine with plenty of power and runs fairly quietly. It could be improved with the addition of a trigger locking mechanism.
