Over 4 Times Faster Charging Times Versus Provided Factory Charger
This Level 2 unit charges the hybrid battery in our 2021 BMW X5 45e over 4 times faster than the one that came with the SAV. it takes the Clipper Creek 6 hours versus 25 hours for the 120 volt BMW charger to fully charge a depleted battery. Great basic charger for smaller EVs
This charger is very basic - it doesn’t include features like WiFi connectivity. But it works well, is built solidly, and is more than capable of charging smaller EVs like the Smart ED/EQ or BMW i3. I use it for my Smart ED and it works perfectly in all sorts of weather here in New England. Highly recommended entry-level charger.
