Great starter set
I've had these for a few weeks and learned how to pick some easy locks. I may be a little hard as he main pick I use is bent. I have straightened it out a few times, but I'm not sure how much it'll hold up to my roughness. I may be attacking these locks too hard. Excellent variety of picks
The set is not bad. It has a excellent variety of picks for me a beginner. I will only will know about quantity over time. The reason I say that is I won’t know if the steel is right for repeated use. I felt it was too thin, however it seems to fit well all of the key holes that I have tried. It may be a four or five star if it holds up. It is too bad that there seems to be few “top of key hole” tension wrench’s available and none In these kind of kits.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good quality and value lock pick set
This is a very good beginner’s (that’s me) set of lock picking tools. I easily able to pick 2 padlocks within a few minutes. Flimsy.
The picks are nice, they feel good, decent variety within the picks, but unfortunately they seem a decent bit too flimsy. 3 tension wrenches are the same size and don’t seem terribly wide. One of the best starter kits you can buy!
I've been a casual picker for about 15 years. It's a good stress reliever and a challenge. It's also useful for when people loose their keys. I've only unlocked 3 locks for people, but the options are very costly. Anyways, I bought this economy set to try out the rubber/foam grips. I usually put heat shrink tubing on the picks if I'm using them on my box of padlocks so I figured these would be different. They are very comfortable. I would recommend a drop of super glue of you don't want them to move, but the sleeves do fit very tight. (You have to put the sleeves on yourself.) The only con I can see is that you loose a bit of the feedback you would normally feel, but this shouldn't matter much for a beginner. And you can always slide the sleeves off if you're having issues, as long as you didn't glue them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better than expected
I bought a set of picks off Amazon to explore lockpicking as a hobby. They were terrible. Flimsy, awkward, and just feel cheap. These picks have been great. Look and feel is much better quality. Just the right number and style of picks for a beginner. And the handles are great. The right amount of thickness for comfort and control without being bulky. Excellent lock picks
I have bought several sets of lock pics and these are the best quality I've ever used. The metal is smooth and polished. The cheap ones are sharp and dull. During use they will get stuck in the locks and hung up on pins. These allow for smooth action, and they glide over everything.
