Was skeptical when buying this item, and I still had my doubts as I used it for the first time. However, I can confirm to any prospective buyer that it does indeed work, providing you: Use a mains drill (battery powered drills might work but generally they lack the speed and stamina required for this job). Fill the container up with fruit. It won't be nearly as effective with just a third full. Make sure you give it a good 4-6 mins, adjusting the angle of the metal slightly from time to time. It may seem a long time, but compared to bashing the fruit with a log, or feeding them manually into a crusher, it is still a very efficient return on your time.

Nice bit of stainless and a nice bucket but does not do the job. I get twice as much juice by passing my apples through a waste disposer. This arrangement just breaks up some of the apples into lumps whereas what you want is pulp.

Probably the best way to pulp apples for cider making in reasonable bulk without shelling out for something expensive. Has picked up a few scratches around the sides where I was a bit vigorous wiggling the spinning blade around, hopefully this wont be a problem with contamination etc.

The lid is a little difficult to remove, but you do need it to seal well when in use.

Worked very well for pulping a large quantity of apples. The stainless steel 'mashing attachment' appears well made and the bucket is sturdy with the lid clipping on well. Took a couple of mins per batch and result was a juicy pulp. The subsequent pressing extracted a good quantity of juice.
