Easy Transfer
Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus is fairly simple to use. It installed quickly and once I attached the VCR to my PC I was transferring the video to DVD in no time. Unfortunately the VHS tape was recorded with a hand held movie camera and the video was then transferred to a VHS tape and now I was transferring it to DVD. The quality was not the greatest but the capture to DVD did not lose any more quality. You get about 1 hour of video at highest capture quality to a standard DVD. Buggy software
This software is very buggy and difficult to use. My husband and I spent many hours trying to transfer 4 or 5 VHS tapes to the DVD-R's and for each one we transferred, we went through at least 2 to 3 new DVD-R tapes. If you can not get the recording to start on the 1st take, the DVD tape is wasted and you have to pitch it. So we started out with about 25 blank DVD tapes and wound up pitching about 10 or 12. I would not recommend this software. Again, it is very buggy. We did not buy the extra software to help in the quality of the video and good thing we didn't. Simply not worth any cost when you have such a hard time getting it to do what it is supposed to do. And I rarely leave bad reviews. Sorry Roxio.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

You Must Have Patience
After downloading software, go to Roxio site to update this product. Do not follow directions in box booklet. Chat with tech support & ask for their direction sheet. Be sure to use DVD-R disc NOT a DVD-RW. I found it easiest to upload the VHS to my computer (not directly to D-drive). Watch the file size! Then I was able to burn it to my DVD & send it to my Google Drive for sharing. A learning curve for sure!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It works but is slow going and not user friendly
There's definitely a learning curve with this software. Once you finally get everything figured out, you may still wonder if you're doing it right and if there isn't an easier/faster way. The instructions are limited to installing the software - the rest is accomplished through trial and error. You also need to be patient and have lots of time to do the digitizing. But with all of that said, it does work and it's so nice to be getting my old videos digitized so that I can share them with the family.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great Entertainment
At First I had a difficult time hooking it up but i realized you cant hook it uo to a dvd player that has HDMI Cable once i hooked up the jacks and connected my computer it worked perfectly, ive been transfering home move with no proplems, FYI the file sizes are really large after transfer in complete and needs converted to record to dvd my suggestion is to download any time converter software its free on the web, this will turn your video from a mpeg to an mp4 and it also helps with the large file good luck hope this info helps you out.
