It’s a good item for the price and works well. However, there is only one lens it will work with and that’s an 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Nano USM. (The “Nano USM” is the important part as it has the couplings and electrical connections.) These can be picked up circa £200 second hand (Sept 2023). So, let’s say you have the correct lens and the power zoom add-on gadget. Combined cost in the ballpark of £350. It zooms in an out nicely very smoothly and soes all the things it’s supposed to do. The downside is it’s a little slow for still photography. You will find yourself removing the device in frustration because it’s quicker to zoom by hand. If you want it to make movies, then you will love its smooth one touch zoom action. Summary If you already own the 18-135 USM nano lens, then it’s a good deal for movie makers. Still photographers will eventually see it as nothing more than an expensive toy. Read full review

To be able to use this product you have to purchase a different lens, which is quite expensive, Canon should offer discount if you buy both items.

If you love gadgets and photography then this is for you. On slow mode should be good for steady zooming in video mode but over a £100 is a bit of a financial sting but I love it
