Fascinating and full of amazing artwork
I think the good value/compelling content questions are relative here. If you're a fan of the Borderlands series and you want to see concept art from the games, plus backstory for many of the characters, then this book is for you. If you cringe at the though of dropping around £200 on a book about a video game, then you may prefer to buy "Inside The Vault: The Art & Design of Borderlands 2", which averages around £14 and is a more compressed version, both in terms of physical size and inside content. It also contains some artwork not included in The Art Of Borderlands 2, so because I have more money than sense, I got both. The average price of THIS book (the big white one) can be anywhere from £175 to well over £200, simply because supply didn't meet demand for the fandom - there weren't as many copies printed as there should have been. As for the book itself, it's paperback, larger than A4 size, and is about an inch thick. the artwork inside is highly detailed and printed on lovely paper, although it will pick up greasy fingermarks if you handle it too much. If you want this book to stay in excellent condition in case you sell it on one day, you might want to touch only the white areas of the pages when you read it. Unless you want to feel like a historian and wear a pair of gloves to turn each page. As well as concept art for the landscapes and environments in the games, it features artwork for the weapons manufacturers, types of guns and shields, and there's a section on some of the main characters from the series, with more art from the development process and a little bit of background information in there too. It's a really great book in my opinion, worth keeping an eye out for.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
