Great alternative!
I spent months trying to choose a new camera. I wanted something that was a point and shoot, small but with changeable lenses something with a good price but had all the additional settings that I like from my old pro DSLR. I had set my heart on a Sony Alpha A6000 but the cost where just getting out of my reach even at second hand. So some research later I found to my delight the Sony Alpha NEX-6. It has a lot of features that I love, including the built in eye piece and the ability to switch of live view / back screen and as I'm not a pixel junkie the 16.1MP was more than enough for what I wanted it for. I was lucky enough to get a good condition second hand one with the PZ kit lens which has surprised me how good it is and as I have a selection of Sony E Mount lenses I'm looking forward to what it can do!

Great beginner or B camera for cheap
Super lightweight and portable as with any mirorrless camera and packed full of features. I was originally shopping for the a6000 but I found the nex 6 and in 2019 (entering 2020) this is incredible value for money. The software can be limiting in the functions that can be assigned to the buttons and it has nowhere near as much flexibility as a newer Sony but it's still really good, much better than a touchscreen. Something really important is that the lens mount is loose, this is a common problem with early Sony e mount cameras and should be something to be aware of.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
