  • Simmons .22-Mag scope without proper .22 rifle rings

The title is misleading calling it a ".22-Mag" scope and not include 3/8" tip-off rings of which over 90 percent of the rimfire rifle of the world are equipped with 3/8" receiver grooves and not drilled for standard ring bases. Thought the scope is of good quality for a rimfire rifle, the rings sent with it are regular "weaver/Picatinney rail based type and are therefore unusable with my .22 rifle. I will therefore have to purchase a set of Weaver 3/8" tip-off rings in order to mount the scope.

  • Great little scope on my Ruger, the only problem I had was the rings didn't fit my rail

The scope itself is great for the value, although not having BDC is a minor drawback. I've shot out to 175yds and maintained a decent group! 50 yds is an easy 1" grouping. Very easy windage and elevation adjustments, no tools needed! Great little scope, just the additional cost of a good mount/ringset was a setback

  • Good scope for the money

Left/right adjustment has no noticeable click while up/down does. Direction arrows and text are hard to read, they are just molded into the black knob: they need to be contrasting color. Optics are clear but there is some distortion around the edges. Adjustments seem to be quite accurate. Focus works good. No noticeable parallax error at 50 yards.

  • A great scope for rimfire, or pellet rifle for under $100.00

I have. bought 7 of these scopes, either in 40 mm (5), or 32 mm (2, including this one) and have had great results with all. I have used them on my high powered pellet rifles, and they have held up great to the recoil associated with such rifles, and both of my 22LR rifles as well. I would recommend these scopes to anyone looking for a good quality scope for either a pellet rifle, or a Rimfire 22LR. The adjustable objective feature makes this scope great for a clear sight picture at as close as 10 feet, and as far out as 75 yards! (although, I have shot out to 100 yards frequently with the 40 mm model with great results). I love these great scopes!

  • Worth the money

Mounted on my mosburg 760 perfectly! Took quite a bit of work to find zero. After zeroing, it was very easy to sight in. Deadly accurate, even during rapid fire. Great little scope.

  • Simmons 22mag scope

Was not expecting scope to have rimfire standard 3/8 (9mm) sight ring bases, so had to put the scope on my 22lr Mossberg 802. It just dropped right in and shot about 1.5 inches to the left. I have never had a scope easier to sight in. I expected to be out in the heat and sunshine for a long time, as I do not have a laser bore scope for .22. i shot a box of Remington golden shells last Sunday but needed only a dozen to zero this scope. The rest I used in my new Walther PPQ 22. Such a good time for a few dollars worth of shells.

  • Clear Glass, Looks great, Put on my Marlin 795

Very clear glass. I was weighing getting a mid budget scope like a Bushnell or higher end like a Vortex Crossfire ii for my Marlin 795 but took a shot on this one for $50. Im glad I did it looks great and has very clear glass. I heard the mounts that come with this scope don't fit the Marlin 795 dovetail I didn't try them I ordered a different set of rings that work great there the Leapers accushot 1 inch rings and is perfect for added height for the eye relief. If your wondering to get this scope or a more expensive one for a 22lr I would say get this one its great but don't use for anything more powerful than 22lr

  • good for rimfire !

Item looks great , but unfortunately , the ring mounts don't fit on weaver/picatinny rails , they are too thin . Luckily , rings are not expensive , and ended up buying another set . The scope looks great though .

  • Good scope for the money

I was impressed by the optics, this is a great scope for the ole 30-30 easy adjustment and for the price, I was surprised at clarity, not perfect but exceeded my expectations.

  • 'OL FAITHFUL

Over the years I have used many of these great little .22 cal. rifle scopes. Most recently installed it on a .22 mag bolt action.
