Solid cable
When it comes tom firewire the cheapest cable cane cause connection problems. The Belkin is a high quality cable. Firewire is not usb (packages). Ir creates a stream. So, 400 mbps is the constant speed from the beginning. Don't get you fooled by the theoretically higher speed of usb 2. The "up to 480 mbps" is only on paper. In reality you get rather 180-280 mbps. No wonder that firewire is still demanded by sound producers who want to relay on a defined and constant data speed.
