Assemble a band, brick by colourful brick, in this family friendly version of Harmonix Music's popular rhythm series. Featuring the same level of customisation and whimsical humour found in previous LEGO video games, the LEGO Rock Band lets you create your own band members, roadies, and even managers from a variety of individual parts. Completing songs and rock power challenges earn you studs that can be used to unlock additional venues, characters, instruments, vehicles, and items for your personal "rock den." Challenges involve achieving such offbeat feats as summoning storms, demolishing skyscrapers, and defeating a giant octopus with the power of music. As with earlier entries in the Rock Band series, gameplay involves using supported guitar, microphone, and/or drum peripherals to rhythmically follow a series of cascading, colour-coordinated notes. A total of 45 songs are included on the disc, all performed by the original artists. Tracks include Crocodile Rock, Ghostbusters, Summer of 69, So What, I Want You Back, and Free Fallin. Owners can also download other songs designed for the Rock Band series as well as export the LEGO Rock Band track list to Rock Band 2 for use in all game modes.Product Identifiers

Great family friendly Rock Band experience with lots of songs
Great fun if you own Rock Band instruments and more of a fan of lighter fare than the hard rock and metal in the other Rock band games, or if you want a more family-friendly experience suitable for kids. If you have Rock Band 2 or 3 but not the original Rock Band or its predecessor, Band Hero, then you'll find a lot of new tracks. Because it's a family friendly game, you'll find a very easy mode for kids, so they just need to strum on the guitar and not have to hit any notes. Iggy Pop does the tutorial mode, which is a bit tedious but he tries his best to liven up his script, you can hear he had a good time doing it.. The campaign mode is good and the special challenges are fun (for the audience, you will not be able to watch what's going on on the screen when you're focusing on hitting the next notes). One thing is that the game never tells you that to buy the new vehicles you need to progress between locations, you simply need to use the D-pad (or up/down on the guitar) to step to the next available vehicle position. Great Game to add to your Rock Band collection.
