Could be clearer about the versions of Thunderbolt (see above)
This adapter works for Thunderbolt (original version) and Thunderbolt 2, but not the latest Thunderbolt 3. If you are starting with Thunderbolt 3 I believe there is a separate Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter that you would need as well.
