Brought this drive to replace my full 128gb ocz vertex 4. was not expecting to notice any performance gains but you can tell my pc runs a bit snappier and boot faster, the bench marks are astounding, just over 600mbs a sec with the new firm ware and would recommend installing the magician software that comes on the disk, but it only works for the samsung drive not any others that are installed. would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade or expand storage
I wanted to speed up my old MacBookPro so looked into SSDs. I found various reviews comparing all SSDs and the Samsung was always at or near the top of the lists, that and the fact that I've used Samsung printers without a problem with my apple computers decided me to buy Samsung's SSD. Cloning my existing HDD onto the SSD was quite straightforward using a demo version of Carbon Copy Cloner (must buy - it's brilliant), swapping the drives over and starting up. The speed of the SSD is so much greater than the HDD - it's unbelievable - with programs like Photoshop opening instantly - it is a real joy to have in my laptop
