The Shimano optislick coated inner gear cable made with stainless steel is the ideal upgrade to my road bike set up. It has improved shifting with less lagging(compared to my previous gear cables) and the optislick coating gives me confidence it will not only work better changing through the gears but will last longer and reduce the maintenance time and offer improved protection from road salt deterioration and exposure to inclement weather.
