I needed a pair of headphones to mix down my music on my laptop and get as true a sound as possible without the need for monitor speakers. I looked at lots on ebay and other sights and came across these which had glowing reviews everywhere as being affordable reference and monitor headphones that give a very balanced sound. I've used expensive phones before and to be honest, these are indeed the best I've come across, light and comfortable to wear over long periods and the sound in them is great, being open back headphones I thought outside noise would be a problem but not so, very impressed, and at the price they are I might even buy another pair.

These headphones are amazing for the price, I find them very comfortable to wear as the ear pads are made of a soft fabric and the sound reproduction is really very good, and I found I could wear them for quite long sessions without my ears suffering from heat and fatigue, due to them being semi open backed so they let air get to the ears, so great for home studio work but not so good for listening to music in public as they do leak some sound. My only criticism is that to my old ears they could offer a little more in the mid range and then they'd be perfect, but at this price that really is nitpicking as I would have to spend a lot more to find better.

Sound quality is a very subjective thing, and expectations are bound to vary, so reviews must be taken with a pinch of salt. I find these to have plenty of fat bass, and crisp treble (even to my worn out old ears after years playing in bands). My Sony headphones sound more detailed, but lack the depth at the lower end, and my Gemini 'DJ' phones suddenly sound very mid-rangey by comparison. I find them to be no more uncomfortable than my others, though I can see the velour covered ear pads leading to hot ears after a fairly short time. You can't expect true hi-fi for under £50, but for me they will do the job I need them for, which is monitoring tracks while recording overdubs, so all in all a satisfactory outcome.

Good, clear sound. Quiet, as open back and no drivers - but what you want for mixing/mastering; proper studio equipment eradicates this issue.

Nobody in the world could convince me that there exists a better pair of headphones for the price that these cost. I own several more expensive sets and they don’t come close to these. Bass is nice and tight, Mids are balanced and the highs are clear. Also delivery was fast, very happy with this purchase.
