Best value closed headphones ever?
A music crazy house, we have expensive in-ear and some top end big headphones, but these are the best value by a mile. My son writes and produces from a modest studio he has assembled from christmas and birthday presents over the last 10 years. Initially he busted the budget for a pair of limited edition Beats Dr Dre, but soon realised they are a piece of jewellery and offloaded them to a schoolmate. He did his research and bought a pair of these, and has used them every day for two years as a neutral, monitor quality tool that helps his work. But being 17, he left them in a hotel room on a school trip two weeks ago and he had to dig deep and buy another pair - hence this review. If anything, this pair are even cleaner in tone. I compared them side by side with my Sennheiser Momentums at £260, using losses recording of acoustic music on an iPhone 6. The M50's are better for this setup, much more efficient and slightly more forward with a more natural midrange and outstanding vocals.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
