About this product

Product Information

With One Button Security Setup, the TL-MR3020 allows users to instantly setup their security simply by pressing the WPS button on the router and automatically establishing a WPA2 secure connection, which is more secure when compared with WEP encryptions. Not only is this faster and safer than normal security setups but more convenient in that users need not remember a password! Bandwidth of mobile broadband is limited. With the router's IP QoS function, the TL-MR3020 allows optimum utilization of bandwidth and offers bandwidth control over congestion, preventing bandwidth abuse. When sharing your mobile broadband with others, you can decide how the bandwidth is shared based on your requirements. The TL-MR3020 can be installed quickly and easily almost anywhere. All you need to do is insert the USB modem into the router, search for its wireless SSID on your computer and connect to it. Users can be online and surfing the internet in no time, with the user guide on provided CD, even novice users can easily set up their wireless internet connections.

  • Running OpenWRT this thing is amazing

I got this router to install OpenWRT and use it as a camera controller for qDslrDashboard. I wanted the MR3040 so I didn't have to deal with external batteries, but apparently those aren't available in the UK. So, I went with the MR3020 to see if ti would work as well. The process of installing OpenWRT was a breeze, setup was fairly straightforward and this thing's crazy fast. I have several of these now on different cameras logging into a TP-Link WR802N. I can control them all from a single Nexus 7 tablet, and streaming Liveview signals from each of the cameras is super smooth. I only briefly used it as a 3G router on a dongle and it worked well, but as it wasn't my intended use for this, it didn't stay that way very long. Would definitely recommend it, especially if you're looking for a good wireless qDslrDashboard server.

  • Work right out the box and does exactly what it says on the tin!!!

No messing, straight forward plug n play I bought this to share a 4G dongle on a mini home network So in 4G router mode - plug the dongle in, it recongises it and auto dials up Plug the ethernet cable into whatever you want and it gives out a DHCP address and your on Connected to the LAN and then the internet though your 4G dongle Great product!

  • Brilliant device to put openwrt on

This is a brilliant and very cheap way of getting a device that will run openwrt. With the stock firmware it is not brilliant at all if that does not support your modem. And it only supports a restricted number. Tech support is excellent, however they will just update the firmware and then tell you that its not supported. However, there is a solution. Put in openwrt and any modem will work. It matters which flavor of openwrt you install. The flavor I used is called Rooter - which makes it very simple to configure a 3G modem. All you do is get the package, then sign on to the device, then do an upgrade to the new package from the existing installation. You then configure the modem with provider APN and you're online. I would give it five stars if it same with Rooter in the first place!

  • All good to perfect.

Everithing was fine. A piece of challangewas that the router had firmware changed and I learned how to change/update the device firmware. Could be usefull to specify if the device has the original or a different firmware. For some buyers coud benefit from the changed firmware/software.

  • Portable router

Good value and runs nicely on a 1A power bank. However, if you intend to put OpenWrt on it, due to limited flash and ram, the latest version you can use (according to OpenWrt website) is 17.05! The hardware version supplied is 1.9 I.e. not the latest h.
