This product is very good but has the usual cisco setup with over the top pages, so would not recommend for anybody not familiar with voip and cisco configurations. The product works well once setup, great performance for price range.

The adaptor works fine, delivery was prompt. Only one drawback is the power supply, it has a 2 pin shaver style outlet and did not include the uk 3 pin. This makes the connection clumsy and liable to keep cutting out as the plug adaptor is too heavy for the 2 pin style plug.

In purchasing, I failed to notice that it stated it was an EU power supply; effectively making its immediate use impossible until a slide-in 13A UK was found. Another reviewer has said that that PoE was possible, but I can't vouch if that it is a true statement. Again it would have been helpful if it was stated that you might need an RJ11 to BT adapter. It was a major task to figure out how to log into the devices GUI only to discover that once there, the firmware was massively outdated and to bring it up to the latest version required a staged process. I was expecting to make changes to the dial plan, but was unprepared for the considerable number of default configuration changes necessary for any attached POTS phone(s) to work properly in the UK. The RJ11-BT Socket Adaptor wasn't needed in my case as I used an RJ11-RJ11 cable with success. Using an ATA adaptor is a niche market as often a dedicated VoIP phone might be a cheaper hardware option. However it enables the end user to using his existing phones. At the end of the day, a second POTS phone could be added and you do have an Ethernet port for another device. In my case it is used in conjunction with Ethernet over Power adaptors to give a phone service in the garden shed remote from the home, with options for the future like CCTV.Read full review

Having eventually got a decent fibre broadband line, thought high time to release myself from the shackles of having to pay landline phone costs but still wanted access to a landline for safety purposes. Consequently this provided the perfect solution linked with my old analogue DECT phones combined with a PAYG SIP service. Box relatively easy to configure, however having reset to factory settings before starting, did have to hunt down a regional setting to get the phone base station to actually ring. Config via embedded web browser relatively intuitive (if used to doing this sort of stuff) but use a laptop rather than trying to do via iPad or phone! Box seems robust and don’t see any long term reliability issues, only down side is you do need an Ethernet connection and additional 3-pin socket, but small price to pay for saving monthly landline charges!Read full review

Quality kit. Easy to set up using the web interface. I used the Sipgate VOIP service and now have two UK land line numbers presenting via this two line box. I have it wall mounted. You may need to source some analogue telephone adaptors (I have some in my parts box). The unit works well, runs silently and cool.
