The sound quality is incredible, razer has a surround sound program that makes the audio from the earphones absolutely amazing. The drawback is no matter how much I adjust my microhpone settings it picks up the audio from the earphones so if I'm playing with friends online i have to crank my sound down which sort of defeats the purpose of the high quality sound in the first place. I was expecting better out of razer headphones but for single player games, these work great

Ok to start off, this headset is very comfortable and looks awesome. Looks only go so far though. No mute button on microphone. It works on a ps4, but you really need to play with it to get it to connect. Since there's no mute unplugging it is the only option, so back to square one. In line mute buttons dont work either. No volume controls at all, so you are at the mercy of your device. For the price, other headsets have lots of options with this and stay competitive. Cables are short, even with adapters. I wanted to love these, but after a few weeks of using them they came up short and I missed options that are pretty standardized in other headsets.

I've been into competitive gaming for about a year now, and have never had a quality gaming headset. I've been using the $20 Turtle Beaches from Wal-Mart. After those broke on me, I had decided that enough was enough, and it was time to invest in a good headset. My two choices were down to the Razer BlackShark and the Astro A40's. I had tried a friends Astros and purchased the BlackShark to compare. I was blown away by the quality of the Razer Headset. Astro is no slouch, but I decided to stick with Razer, and haven't been disappointed. The build quality is very nice, the colors go very well together, like most Razer products. I love the look of the BlackShark, as it's based off the headsets that helicopter pilots use. I have given it a 4/5 because it's an awesome product, with a few minor complaints. Pros: Great Sound Quality Feels Solid Has Some Noise Cancelling, but not a lot Good Mic Quality Overall Great for the Price Cons: No Mic Mute Switch You have to un-screw the pieces on the headband to adjust size. Wires are exposed, could lead to easy damage All in all, I love this headset and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a good gaming headset. It's also worth noting, I play on the Xbox 1, and if you want to use this headset on it, you WILL NEED the Astro Mixamp!Read full review
Razer's Headset, The Blackshark, is another amazing headset! I bought this headset to not only use for PC gaming, but as well as Xbox 360 gaming (buying a separate adapter) It has comfortable ear cushions that enclose the sound directly to your ears, has a mic that can be adjusted and positioned to your preference or completely taken off the headset, comes with multi-tap cords for microphone use and audio as well as just audio for use as headphones, and a very sleek, air pilot design. It ultimately replaces any Xbox 360 headset, like the Turtle Beach, and many high end headphones, like Skull Candies, with audio quality and a clear microphone. Great sound quality with noise canceling abilities as well as a comfortable build, what more can you ask for in a headset?
I've been gaming and using Skype forever. This is the best headset for the money. Sound quality is great for the price and the headset is sturdy. I have a huge head and this fits great. Unlike my last set that broke in half this one won't because it has a metallic frame and the design seems to be sized for an adult and not a child. If you want to use it as a standard headset without the microphone you can. You cannot go wrong with this headset if you have a big head like me.
