Perfect way to make your HW-101 look like new. Well worth the money!
This was easy to apply and it looks perfect. All the holes line up perfectly. I sanded my panel smooth before I applied it so the adhesive will have a nice surface to adhere to. I am very pleased with the results. See attached photos! Very highly recommended. The overlay extends very slightly over the ends of the panel so be careful not to chip the overhang. I made a small chip in mine but it's not too noticeable. Careful handling will prevent this. If I had known that I would have been more careful.

Vintage Heathkit Product
Wow! Upon opening the box it was shipped in, I was truly amazed at the condition it was in. It looked NEW! Turning it on for the first time, as with old electronics, I figured it may need some restoration. To my amazement, it worked as if it were NEW, right out of production. Everything worked as it should and the radio certainly lives up to it's credible reputation as a high competitive rig for amateur use. I've owned one like this and the later version, the HW101 and haven't had any trouble with either one. You can depend on these radios to perform as they should with routine maintenance as you would with any other radio. Very nice dial
A well constructed dial, looks great. Not sure if the change in linearity from the Heath version really solved the problem as I still can't get it to track closely from end to end. Setting to the low end the high end will be off by 18-20 KHz. If set to the closest 100 KHz it will be about 2-3 KHz off.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Vintage Heathkit HW100 Transceiver and Power Supply
The vintage Heathkit HW100 and associated power supply are in pristine condition and functional. The HW100 is known to have mechanical problems with the VFO dial slipping but is fixable by adding a Jackson Drive. What makes Heathkit desirable is that it can be upgraded/modified by the user.
