Chromebook XE550C22-A01US. Delivery to Gmail in 9 Minutes. The Universe Gives Me a Gift
I hope you're All having an Amazing day! I timed it, from delivery to Gmail in 9 Minutes! The Chromebook XE550C22-A01US is AWESOME! Yeah Baby! HA! Holy Screamin' CPU's Batman! I can't believe the Difference! I had the XE303C12-A01US, and I was comfortable with it, but I knew it wasn't the fastest thing on Earth and that it was straining to do what it was doing. I was procrastinating about upgrading to the XE550, and then a message came from The Universe to prompt me to definitely upgrade. That message came in the form of a small bottle of Uncle Bob's Root Beer Flavored Whiskey, the stickiest stuff on Earth, spilling over 1/2 my keyboard. That's enough to be said about that. The Chromebook XE550C22 lit up and grabbed the hand of my TWC WiFi Router like it was her long lost mother. I was reading my Gmail within 9 minutes of receiving her at my door. I was so excited about how she just Zipped along Web Pages, like a dolphin gracefully parallel swimming the wake of my 41 foot Bayliner, which I don't have. The Intel Celeron CPU 867 @ 1.30 GHz (2 MB L3 Cache), and 4 GB (DDR3 (1333 MHz)) of memory easily greased the path of all my operations. Here are some, maybe all, of the intelligent, well engineered, hardware features of The Chromebook XE550C22-A01US: 1. 4-in-1 (SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC) 2. 2 x USB 2.0 3. Kensington Lock Port 4. 11" X 4" (approx) Keyboard, nicely, comfortably, laid out. Press " ctrl-alt-/ " and you'll get a whole layout of the keyboard... then press the " alt " key, and it shows you all the short cuts related to the " alt " key. Same goes for the " ctrl ", " shift ", " search ", and combinations of the previously mentioned. You don't have to spend time Googling how to use your keyboard. 5. RJ45 (LAN) (for those times IF you don't have WiFi available, but have access to a LAN jack). Let me tell you from experience... can be handy. Always, carry a LAN cable with you if you have the Jack. 6. Display Port. Honestly, I don't know anything about this Display Port. You'll have to look that one up with your new Chromebook XE550C22. 7. Headphone Out/Microphone In Jack. 8. (2) 2 Watt Speakers (4 Watts Total). 2 Function Keys at the Top of the keyboard for Volume Control. 9. 12.1” LED-Backlit LCD Screen, 1280 x 800 (WXGA), 200 Nits Brightness. I'm not sure what a "Nit" is but the screen is clear, well sized and sharp. It's easy to adjust the contrast and brightness with 2 Function Keys at the Top of the Keyboard. There's also a very cool, handy button, 5th from the Left, that toggles the Menu, Address, and Bookmarks Bar to be hidden for a Full Screen or not. When Hidden, just hover your pointer up there and the whole thing drops down for you. Same thing goes for "The Shelf". Play with it, it's Fun! 10. 16 GB SSD On-Board Storage 11. 1.0 MP HD Web Camera 12. 4 X 2.5 Touch-pad. 13. WWAN: No / HSPA, EV-DO, Verizon 3G* (I have no idea what that means) 14. Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi Only/Wi-Fi and 3G 15. Lightweight, Durable, Thin, And it's Pretty Too! Has a nice light charcoal grey color with a satin feel to it. PS. my last Chromebook I dropped well over a dozen times, hard. It was the Root Beer Whiskey that killed it... and it didn't die so much as it was just too sticky to clean out. After starting it up the first time, the Chromebook XE550C22 instantly went about syncing with my stuff in the clouds... all my extensions, bookmarks, files, settings,,, everything! I didn't spend a tick of time re-loading, configuring, rebooting, etc... like some other operating systems with broken windows that I know of. With my Internet Service, Time Warner Cable, I'm paying for 30 Mbps... with the Chromebook XE550C22, I'm getting 37 Mbps! At home with the Router that TWC provided for me, My Signal Strength will hit up to 93%. It's going to make it Easier, and Faster, to buy Great Stuff on Ebay! My PayPal account is about to be Smokin' too. Hahaha! Find 'em on Ebay for about a Hundred bucks ($100), give or take. Be patient, Search diligently. Make an Offer if available. Get a Nice One!
