It's okay, but not the revelation some make it out to be
In optics, you ALWAYS get what you pay for. If you expect this to give you the same results you would get from using a dedicated, high quality wide angle lens, you're in for some disappointment. That said, most people would probably not notice a huge difference. So if the number of times you have a need for that extra "step back" is limited, and if you're mostly using this for video, it's well worth the money. The step up ring that was shipped with mine was garbage, the thread just kept turning and never held on on the bigger side. I got a quality step up ring to replace it. Great for extra range
