A chip off the Old Block
Make no mistake about this one, the Milwaukee Portable Compact is everything youve come to expect from the bigger version, and it is a HOG! At 9.5 pounds, one handed cutting is no problem, and youre still able to maintain stability and accuracy because its lightweight. its made from the same tough materials milwaukee uses on most all of its products. this one is quiet even when the variable speed setting is turned all the way up. it doesnt hesitate at all and despite its size, the motor isnt easily bogged down. the fence is adjustable too, so you can slide it up and out of the way or slide it down to use when cutting stacked or thick materials. if safety concerns you, it also comes with a set screw to firmly hold the fence in the down position. ive been using mine daily for about two weeks now. it gets put through everything that our larger version has been through and it doesnt seem to be slacking or slowing down anytime soon. comes with a blade so you can get right to work straight out of the box. also comes with the famous impact resistant red carrying case which also has room for blade storage in the lid. and for quick little jobs, this one has a nice long cord so you dont have to drag out the extension cord to use it at your work table. ive looked at this model in the box stores and seen them sell sometimes upwards of $275. at just under $200, i consider this one a steal of a deal. id recommend this to anyone who is familliar with a bandsaw and its variety of uses. this product holds up to my high standards as far as quality, workmanship and ease of use. you cant afford NOT to buy it! -Cody LeBlancVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Always quality
I have not used the one in my possession, but I have used them when I was still working. Usually I had always had the deep throated Milwaukee band saws. But towards the end of my career l had the opportunity to use this compact bandsaw. Though not made for the largest of conduit, it would cut with ease 2” and down along with strut and many other items. This was light enough to reach out with one hand and perform demo work.
