breville smart pro grinder.
This grinder had a few bad reviews concerning the motor burning out right away but it has been working great for me. It did have a little bit of a burning smell to it the first few times we used it but now it's fine. I just made sure that I didn't run it for too long. If I was grinding more than 4 table spoons I would do it in separate grinds so I could let the grinder cool down for like 30 sec in between grinds. Also you don't want to do long grinds because it will start to heat the beans up and that will essentially start to over roast the beans. It's cours grind is more tHan good enough for French press and it's finest grind is great for espresso. If you want a better grinder than this you have to spend 600 or more. So I just deal with the little things. If you love coffee and you don't want to spend 6 to 15 hundred on a grinder than this is the one for you.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

My idea of the perfect coffee bean grinder
I'll admit that the first time I saw this grinder, I thought Breville had over-thought the thing and loaded it with electronic gimmicks, but I couldn't resist the combination of high cool factor, and Breville's reputation for quality. So I bought one. At first, the three settings seemed a little much, but it doesn't take long to get the hang of it, and all of a sudden you love this grinder. It lets you fine tune everything about the way your beans are ground, and once you get all the settings just right, the consistency of your brew results is fantastic. Then, if you experiment with different beans, the smart grinder lets you fine tune the grind and the amount of grounds per cup so you can get the best possible results with each of your favorite coffee beans. It doesn't hurt that its so entertaining, either. Guests love to watch it do its thing. I'm pretty sure I've sold a couple more Smart Grinders for Breville along the way. A decent grinder.
I like the design, it is smart for the purpose it has. As you change the grind size, it automatically adjusts amount-size from french-press to espresso. Pros: The receiving bowl or portafilter cradles are handy, including the cleaning brush. Cons: It slows down considerably when grinding espresso, which is what I bought it for. So I try not to load it too much, when grinding that size. I did not give it a 5-star because of that.
