Compilation of career of Frankel thru newspaper reports
I am a horse racing fan. I followed Frankel's career via the news, seeing some of his races on TVG, etc so I pretty much knew alot about the horse but I thought a book would been a definitive product...maybe I'm not saying that right....but, I was kind of disappointed. This was a compilation of articles written before and after each of his races. As a result, lots of the information was repetitive. For instance, how many times did a person have to read that he was named for deceased trainer Bobby Frankel? Once would have done it...but it appeared over and over again. I did like the complete information of entries and results for each of his races and the photos were wonderful...which is why I would recommend it for a racing fan, even if I wasn't really impressed with it. You could Google the horse and read the same things that you read in the book. Oh...and the book weighs a ton. Great quality on the hardcover paperboard....but unless you are sitting at a table with the book lying down on the table, you might get carpal tunnel by trying to hold it....too heavy and bulky. For the price, it was a suitable read.
