Internet when power is down
I may never use it, but I finally bought it. This is a battery that takes over your modem/router's power if the power fails.
After one of the hurricanes,(one of the hurricanes) my power went down. Not a real biggie, warm weather. So I got an old generator out of the shed, after pulling till my arm was sore it started. But no electricity!!. So I took it to the street. I think it may have been a capacitor. It was one of those 2 stroke models. I wanted to see if it would run a refrigerator, or at least get a computer online
After reading up on it I found I'd need one with a SINE inverter to power anything elecronic, which brings me to this battery. As soon as you plug it in the router starts. You unplug the router from the power, so what, the router stays on. Lithium batteries. Great lifetime. No fuss.
That's part of what I wanted, my internet access stays up if the power goes down. So for the price, not bad.
