THE Porta Pros to get--made the old way and with an awesome volume slider
The new black and blue Koss Porta Pro Classic is made much more cheaply than they used to be. This Limited Edition Beige Rhythm is made the way the old Porta Pros used to be made and also has one awesome upgrade: a volume slider. Sadly, the cable is quite a bit thinner than the Porta Pro Classic's L-plug cord. It is almost but not quite as flimsy as the even thinner Porta Pro KTC's cable. My expectation is to have to replace the Limited Edition Beige's cable under the $9+shipping lifetime warranty fairly frequently. If you can tolerate this, these are fantastic, well-made, ultra-lightweight, portable on-ear headphones. I figure I'd do one replacement and then solder in a high-end cable (but none have the volume slider!) I would buy another one if mine were stolen or lost. They sound fantastic and the volume slider is a must for running/walking. It's nice also that I can hear vehicle traffic while walking, unlike with earbuds.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
