Try the "other" threadlocker!
I've always used the other threadlocker when assembling parts that were firearms related. Recently, I wanted something that would insure a snug fit, wouldn't vibrate loose, and could be taken apart and reassembled without needing to be reapplied. This stuff did the job. I got several machine screws of the correct length and applied this VC-3 to the threads of each of them. You let this stuff cure before assembly. I was careful not to apply this stuff right to the end of the screw because you need to have a couple of turns of threads to make the parts easy to assemble. If you have a glob of this on the very end of the screw, catching the threads and getting the screw started is going to be tough. Tightening was not difficult but you could tell from the effort required that the screw was going to stay put. I have not had the opportunity yet to see if assembly, disassembly, and re-assembly can be done 5 times but so far I am very happy with this product.
