Old Time Root Beer Extract
This was a total impulse purchase. It popped up on my eBay feed and I got curious. I like teas and herbs, and I remember chewing sassafras bark in summer camp. The product is basically unsweetened root beer extract. It's fun added to teas or seltzer. It would probably be really good for cooking, maybe flavoring a frosting or a cake. From what I read on line, it seems to be a big, old-timey favorite in some parts of the country, and those folks rate it highly. Sassafras is also supposed to have medicinal qualities, but one of the active chemicals, safrole, has been removed since it's a carcinogen.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
