Perfect hooks
Soft grip is easy on the hands for hours of comfortable hooking. Colours help with size recognition, even once the writing has worn off. The metal part lets the yarn glide easily, yet has enough "grip" to enable tight crocheting. Very happy with the size selection, too. Need to get used to the different feel.
I do like these Pony easy grip crochet hooks which are metal and so much better than the cheaper aluminium versions. Once I get used to them I think they'll be fine, but for the moment they just feel different to hold. Other reviewers said they are good for arthritic hands which swayed my decision to buy them, so I'll just keep on persevering until they become as natural to hold as an ordinary hook. The best hooks!
I have tried horribly expensive hooks and cheap hooks. These are comparatively cheap but I always come back to them. The handles are fairly long which, to me, makes them much more comfortable as they don't dig into my palms. The actual hook is silky smooth and never snags, the wool glides on them beautifully.
