A step up from Lodge
For a few dollars more, the Victoria cast iron is a step up from Lodge. Noticeabley smoother, although I still felt the need to one round of oven seasoning. Then I baked a butter-heavy cornbread that popped right out of the pan. Grape seed oil, 90 min at 400* & cool in oven (upside down on a baking sheet) Very pleased with this brand

Food Sticks Out Of Box
Not what I would call "pre-seasoned". I fried eggs straight out of the box and they ended up a mess. Stuck to the skillet like crazy. Have tried it several times now and no better. I will have to season it myself. I have used iron skillets all my life, but have never used a Victoria. They have a good review record, so I thought I would give one a try. Others might work, but not this one.

Very Good for Non-Stick Properties
Followed seasoning instructions and found pan skillet to be pretty much nonstick. It is a perfect size for my recipes and I plan to buy several more for Christmas presents.

Well I see what all the hype is about!! From day one this pan has out performed everything I own. Easy to clean.Retains heat like no other. Almost non stick.. Just oil it after every use and it new again!!!!!
