A handy item to have for the price
Very easy to use with good results. However, if consistent width of the strip is critical, say for planking, then it is limited to thinner sheets. Variations in the hardness throughout a sheet of balsa of 1.5 mm thickness and above can cause blade flexing,, resulting in width variation.

Accurate tool
Recently I purchased a kit that required several sizes of balsa sticks. Not knowing exactly what sizes I decided to cut my own. I bought this stripper and some stock sizes of balsa. I used this tool and found it to be very accurate using the 32 tpi screw thread (imperial sizes). I believe this stripper will have paid for itself by the time I have used my supply of stock material. Another plus point is it uses blades that every modeller will have on hand. I would recommend this tool to any serious "balsa basher". Thanks Graham.
