    Works fine

    Product works as advertised - the lid for cassettes was broken upon arrival (one hinge is broken) but I can still use it fine and doesn’t effect operation so I’m not gonna give negative review. Would have been nice to have been listed though, or at least a little cheaper

    After 30 some years in service the Tascam PortaStudio 424 MKII 4-Track Cassette Recorder still does its job. Obviously, I did not expect a 30+ year tape recorder to be perfect and it's not (the playback speed fluctuates considerably); but everything else is as good as new. Not sure how long it will continue to perform so well, but I have used it a lot since I got it and so far so good. Much of the decks' potential life lies in the amount of use by the previous owner... here's hoping they barely used it.
