Well made and finished but with drawbacks
Merkur razors are justifiably respected for quality, and this is no exception. For an adjustable razor it ticks most boxes. The main problem is that the razor head is quite thick and so manoeuvring it around the nose, for example, is not as easy or effective as regular safety razors. Number 1 is the most sensitive setting and it is indeed as good as other sensitive style razors. Going above three and you had better have a styptic pencil handy, or have pretty tough skin. It is however a good option for those that shave only every few days. I don't understand why they did not have a knurled handle like most other razors, so keep you fingers dry when using it. The other thing you will have to get used to is the weight, but they do say to let the weight of the razor do the work, and I have found that to be true. So basically a good razor, but it's getting up there in price and I suspect that you will have to give it some time to adjust to it, it's different from the regular range of good quality safety razors.
