Well for the price I paid I was pleasantly surprised with the working of this unit.I'm new to detectors,and I've only used it for a short time,but found an old shell casing within the first ten minutes of using.I'm pretty pumped to get out and give it a good workout and find all kinds of TREASURE!!! Gofind 66
Bought this for my 6 year old son. In one morning he mastered its use and programming. I planted about 20 foreign coins in the yard at th end of the first day he had recovered 16. Arm wasnt tired and he had a blast learning about it and the new hobby of metal detecting. I plan on buying a couple more for his little sisters to join us with. This light and simple detector. We have the go find 66 is perfect for a beginner and good enough for a seasoned pro. For the price it is an unbeatable bargain. The depth it found coins at was impressive. Some were at a little over 8 inched deep. He found rhem as easily as he found the shallow ones. Note... I made a slit it the ground with my blade about 9 inches long and slid the coins in. So the detector was picking up vertical or slightly inclined coins at that depth. Great value and easy operation combined with lightweight and waterproof coil. Solid detector for anyone. My choice for my 6 year old to learn a new hobby without having to think to much or moving a lot of weight.

Powerful with Very Accurate Descrimination
I got a minebal66 for my daughter so she could have her own detector when we go treasure hunting and I have to say its very good at descrimination, I use a minelab CTX3030 and find it heavy and akward on long searches where this is 66 is super light. I have to say the minelab 66 is worth of a review, its not something I do unless it exceeds my expectations like this, I have tested against the ctx3030 and the GoFind66 keeps up, test after test infact it really made it simple with a friendly dispay , objects falllsinto one of 4 catagories a hit will flashes icon and showinfo plus theres a row of multi color leds that sbow the quality of the object where all red is poor and solid greens is excellent,.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wouldn't buy again,the id's are terrible
All I can say is be prepaired to dig a lot of trash.The id for each thing is terrible.It says I found a coin and I dig it just to find a piece of trash,same thing with the ring.save your money and by a better detector.I bought it because it was compact and seen other reviews saying how good it was.I don't think everyone was telling you how much trash you dig with it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
