Great Tool
The product arrived ahead of schedule. The Garden Weasel Weed Popper Step & Twist works great and is advertised. It saves on the back from bending over. To pop the weeds out I simple turn it upside down and hit the plunger on the ground. The weed and dirt ball pops out right into my hand. I put the dirt back in the hole and drop the weed, with root ball, into a lawn bag. I wish the two tines were made of a little stiffer material. After punching weeds, the dirt that squeezes between the tines spreads the tines apart. A couple of whacks with a hammer puts them back into alignment. But I wander if the metal may fatigue, weakling in the bend of the tine, and break. $40 down the drain. But after a couple of weeks working on Crabgrass, Nutsedge, and Bermuda grass. I bought the Garden Weasel Weedpopper Step & Twist for my husband, to protect his back from the strain of repetitively leaning over to pull weeds. He loves it! It does remove a good bit of soil with the roots, but consistently removes the entire weed plant and the plunger easily releases it into a bucket for disposal. I purchased a Garden Weasel Garden Claw 30+ years ago and it's still going strong.
