A good product. It's a shame so few folks know that it is available.
This review is for the Toro front wheel drive gear kit 104-8671. The gears are exact replacements for the original. The original gears are very hard and withstand incredible abuse by the users. If your gears are worn down to the point where they won't drive the mower, there is probably a good reason for the problem that you haven't noticed. Look at the brass bushing on both sides of the gear box. Chances are they are worn out. Pay attention when reassembling the axle to be sure the washers are in the correct place. Many times you will need an extra washer to bush the gears properly. Have fun, clean the gear box and use new grease when assembling. If you're a novice, it's about a 3 - 4 beer job. I've been doing this for 55 years so I've got it down to less than 1 beer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
