Great guitar, little price!
When I noticed this surprisingly cheap, new, Epiphone SG Special, I bought one! It has the feel of those early Studio Les Pauls, but there the similarity stops. In aged walnut, standard SG configuration with serial number on the back of the headstock. The guitar needed very slight adjustment to the action, then I tried the guitar with clean sounds up to heavy overdrive, and it plays as good as any Gibson. A lot better than I expected. A _lot_ better.
The pickup switch is horrible (works fine, just not a good feel) and the finish on the headstock isn't great. Aside from that it is a perfectly good guitar, it plays well and was cheap. It isn't a 5 grand Gibson but I didn't expect that. I have played many other guitars for many times the price that weren't as good. This was a bargain.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
