Excellent value, good feature set.
Neat, compact design. All the features I wanted (DAB, CD plus more) and it allows for a lot of different media options. The sound is surprisingly beefy, and can be a bit boomy without some setup. DAB and FM radios tune quickly, and the reception (in my area) is very good. It betters the radio CD it replaces, easily. JVC RD D70 Mini HiFi
An excellent little machine; I am really pleased with it and surprised by it's sound. Quality 5 watts per channel with plenty of clean bass, clear treble & mid-range; more than loud enough with good bass response at low end volume. Has just about every media input, which all work well. I have seen some reviews that poopoo the remote control saying it's too small; I have biggish blokes hands and it's fine; how often are you going to use it anyway; big red button turns machine on. It has a few graphic equaliser choices, but the standard one 'classic' is fine for me; 'rock' ramps up the bass etc. You are able to randomise the tracks off your media; I generally use this setting playing media from a flash drive. Dab radio is great with the ability to memorise stations; all easy enough to set up Altogether a good quality little machine which I fully recommend.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Sound investment.
If you get one,get one with instructions,simple enough to use,etc,but with instructions an absolute doddle. Sound quality is very good,setting dab/fm stations etc,easy enough. Quite a chunky size,but not overlarge. Good features,usb etc. Only things I would possibly criticise are, the cd drawer is pretty flimsy,but if like me you always handle your CDs carefully then not a major problem,and the backlight on the information screen when system is in use is fine,but when on standby is not incredibly bright. Overall, a nice machine,it's black/gunmetal grey colour seems to fit in well in most settings,hopefully it will keep me entertained for a long time. Handy little unit packed useful with features.
Amazed at just how good this unit sounds,and how easy it is to use,packed full of useful features and not over-cluttered with stuff you'll never use. If I have one nit-pick,it would be that the display is a bit on the small size for my tired old eyes,but other than that, I can't fault it. It plays well and loudly when wanted. DAB and CD work well, but I have not used bluetooth nor USB. The screen is easy to read, and the remote works fine. I do like the radio; when I bought this though I did think that a jack socket was for earphones. It is impossible to own this radio for a bedroom if you need to be quiet late-night. It is about the only gripe. Otherwise it is a punchy volume, good for a kitchen radio or living room. If you do use in a bedroom the ideal type of house would be no neighbours at least on one side of the house, with the bedroom on that side being used so that where you are in the house your walls do not party with another room where they can hear it at night. in the day I guess its not that much of a problem. It receives the DAB,FM uses CD's playback only on flash stick situated in convienient place does have a remote. A good alround radio if placed in a good place if you could have neighbour issues. I wouldn't recommend for teenage use would be more for the older person to use in like a kitchen/ living room as the earpiece hasn't been thought about. If I had a teenager I would make them use earphones because they like it loud. Which ok sometimes but they should learn to regulate. Neat design and great sound.
JVC is a well regarded name in Hi-Fi, so couple this with a good value deal then all is good. Having all the controls on the front panel makes it ideal for placing on a kitchen shelf, our previous 'expired' unit confusingly had controls and sockets on three sides. DAB reception is excellent, Bluetooth and CD provide really good sound quality considering the size of the speakers.
